Modern Slavery

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, which requires organisations to publish a slavery and human trafficking statement for each financial year.

Liaison Group is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. This statement reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and maintaining effective systems and controls designed to address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking.

The vast majority of our work is undertaken by our employees either at our clients’ premises or remotely. Our professional services supply chain is composed predominantly of other professional service firms and individuals. Many of these organisations are regulated by professional oversight bodies such as ICAEW, ACCA, SRA and FCA. Taking account of the nature of the services provided, our supplier due diligence processes and the regulatory environment in which they operate, we have assessed the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within this part of our supply chain as low.

Our non-professional supply chain mainly comprises organisations providing software, office services, premises, security, catering and cleaning services. We expect these suppliers to maintain appropriate employment practices and undertake reasonable due diligence in relation to their employees, workers and contractors.

We are committed to ensuring transparency within our business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains, consistent with our obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We expect the same high standards from all contractors, suppliers and business partners.

Our commitment to a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking is supported through employee awareness, training resources and information available through our internal communication channels.

As part of our contracting processes, we seek to include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children. We expect our suppliers to uphold the same standards and, where appropriate, encourage similar standards within their own supply chains.
